From Prague, we caught a five hour train to Vienna. We had booked reserved seats and the trip went smoothly with good views out the window. Unfortunately, we didn't have a Czech Republic or Austria map so we couldn't follow our route, although we did go through Brno, the second biggest city in Czech Republic.
In Vienna, we took the subway downtown to a pre-booked hotel on the main square, [1].
That afternoon and evening we wandered the city and enjoyed the views from the Belvedere for sunset. We found an English newspaper and caught up on world news on one of the hundreds of sidewalk cafes in the evening.
Late in the afternoon of our second day in Vienna, made our way by subway to "Wien Meidling" to catch the train south to Zagreb.
On to Zagreb!
