On my Kingston to Ottawa Cycling trip, I noticed many of these signs indicating upcoming intersections on bends in the road. I photographed a number of these.

Most of the roads in eastern Ontario are build on a grid pattern roughly 1 mile apart. This means that every mile there are 4 way intersections, at least in theory. Main roads can often zig-zag through a series of right angle turns, with the remain legs of the intersection joining from the sides - hence the following road signs.
